eLearning Course Developer
Minneapolis, MN
Chopper College is looking for an eLearning Course Developer to join the team full-time. The Course Developer will be responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts to assess and define the needs and goals of the Chopper College curriculum growth initiative, as well as designing both classroom and on-line training courses to meet them. The role will also coordinate and maintain the e-learning library and classroom instruction curriculum.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in the design, construction and implementation of internet, eLearning and classroom training programs and courses that support business objectives
- Assists in assessing learning gaps and identifying and developing training to bridge gaps
- Coordinates the conceptualization, development and layout of appropriate technical infrastructure required to deliver digital eLearning content
- Research, create and organize content that is logical for the learning sequences
- Determine appropriate delivery methods such as classroom, eLearning, and/or blended environment
- Ensure the content meets learning objectives by assessing, developing, and deploying feedback mechanisms
- Leverage appropriate digital media to deliver training material in the most efficient and comprehensive manner
- Maintains, posts and updates courses in library
- Assists in developing eLearning standards for eLearning courses and in developing auditing procedures to ensure that courses meet industry and compliance standards
- Acts as a liaison with educational suppliers and vendors to evaluate and/or procure course materials, software applications and teaching tools to continually enhance the organization’s eLearning tools
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in training and development including needs assessment, design, delivery and evaluation
- Experience in e-learning and classroom course development
- Evidence of strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in time sensitive situations
- Demonstrated presentation skills; ability to analyze and speak effectively to groups
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of technical experience as it relates to motorcycles
- Prior experience with Photoshop, Articulate or Captivate or other e-learning tool sets
- Experience working in LMS environment
