Part-Time Bike Building Boot Camp Instructor

Chopper College of Minneapolis is hiring experienced motorcycle builders to lead their Bike Building Boot Camp courses. If you're knowledgeable, hard-working, dependable, passionate about motorcycles, and enjoy teaching, Chopper College has the position for you as an instructor.
Responsibilities:
- Teach three day bike building boot camp courses held at local Minneapolis community colleges a minimum of one weekend each month (Friday-Sunday; 9am-5pm).
- Maintain and develop current curriculum and materials to meet industry and student demands.
- Provide academic support to students.
- Work as a team member in maintaining a learning environment that effectively and efficiently meets the requirements of Chopper College, the students, and the partner community college.
- Build and maintain professional and community business relationships.
- Assist in the recruitment of program students as necessary.
- Be student centered, enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and have a clear understanding of and commitment to the assessment of student academic achievement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Available to teach a minimum of one weekend each month of a predetermined course schedule (Friday-Sunday; 9am-5pm)
- Extensive background to include, but not limited to:
- Motorcycle fundamentals, service, repair
- Custom motorcycle building
- Sheet metal fabrication and welding
- Motorcycle engines, transmissions, and primaries
- Motorcycle wiring
- Background in teaching, speaking, or presenting to audiences of 5-20.
Compensation:
$30-$60/hour
