Bike Building Boot Camp

The Bike Building Boot Camp is the class that started it all in 2006. Whether you’re looking to build your own custom motorcycle/chopper from scratch, or make modifications to an existing bike, the Bike Building Boot Camp is the perfect opportunity to gain the knowledge you need.

Each course is taught by an experienced Chopper College builder with an extensive background in designing, welding, fabricating, building, and modifying motorcycles. Students begin with a bare frame and will build a custom motorcycle in just 3 days. Students see and experience, first-hand, everything that it takes to build and modify motorcycles and leave with the knowledge and confidence they need to begin work on their own masterpiece. The class is designed for students at any skill level and with the small class size, instructors can tailor the instruction based on the needs of each student. This course discusses the following topics:

Introduction to nuts, bolts, and fasteners
Tools and parts
Frame geometry (rake and trail)
Engine, transmission, and primary alignment and installation
Brakes installation
Electrical mapping and theories
Oil tanks and lines
Mock-up and final assembly
Bike Building
Bike Modification
Tips and tricks to save you time and money
Plus much more!

In addition to hands-on instruction, students receive a course manual to take home for future reference. Safety glasses and gloves are provided as well as lunch daily. If you're passionate about bikes, you don't want to miss out on this class.

The Bike Building Boot Camp is offered at Chopper College in partnership with Minneapolis Community and Technical College.
